So, the season starts here with a trip to Morocco and the Mena Golf Tour Q-School.

Day 1 - A birdie on the first, feeling confident and everything starts great with expectations high, but as everyone who plays golf knows, this is never the case. A bogey on the second hole and the reality check backs in. Time to steady the ship, refocus and not get carried away, the remaining front nine went to plan with five pars and two further birdies. Standing on the tenth and the wind is increasing, making conditions very tricky.... and so it went on, the small target greens became very difficult to find and this was quickly reflected in all the posted scores. On the back nine holes, my card also demonstrated how difficult the weather conditions was making the course, four bogeys, four pars and a single birdie meant I finished the day with a score of 73 and an unexpected share of the lead.

Day 2 - A really solid front nine holes with seven pars, one birdie and one bogey. However, the back nine holes proved difficult once more in the windy conditions. Only three pars, one birdie and the rest bogeys left me four over for the day and a little disappointed.

Day 3 - A par on the first, followed by two bogeys wasn't the best of starts but I gathered myself with four pars and birdie before dropping another shot on the ninth hole. Concentration levels were high for the tricky back nine and I was rewarded with only one bogey, six pars and two nice birdies leaving one over for the day.

Six over for the tournament and secured my card for the 2017 Mena Tour.

Mena Golf Tour, Palmeraie Country Club Casablanca Open

Day 1 - Bad day at the office today and missed the cut, pulled my back at 6am while warming up on the range, struggled to get the ball on the tee peg but still managed to nurse it round in 76.

Managed to find a physio at the hotel spa, so hopefully some quick treatment and I'll be ready for next week.

Day 1 - A tricky bogey, double bogey start  but recovered the front with only one more bogey, two pars and four birdies leaving me all square after nine. The back nine was a mixed bag with three bogeys, four pars and two birdies. One over for the day.

Day 2 - The front was going to plan, the swing felt good and I was hitting greens and fairways in regulation, securing two birdies along the way. One mistake off the tee on the ninth hole and I dropped two quick shots. The disappointment continued on ten with another double bogey, I managed to steady everything with four consecutive pars before dropping another shot on fifteen. I birdied sixteen but finished bogey, par and three over for the day.

Day 3 - Similar start to Day one with a double bogey on the first hole, a par on two and a recovered shot on the third. I shot pars on four through seven with a dropped shot on eight, I finished with a par on nine which left me two over. The back nine started with two pars and a bogey before recovering with a very nice couple of birdies and four pars. I finished the day one over and the tournament five over.

Day 1 - A great start to Q-School with five pars, three birdies and an eagle on the first nine holes. A steady back nine with one bogey, seven pars and a birdie meant I finished day one five under and in a great position for day two.

Day 2 - Not the best of starts, my front nine holes consisted of four bogeys and five pars, a scrambled back nine holes of level par meant that I finished the day four shots down and one under for the tournament.

The MCB Curaçao Masters is Invitational only. This means that the organizing committee chooses the competing professionals. The organizing committee strives to have a good balance between professionals and their teams in terms of coaching and being a good host while still performing at a high golf level.

The tournament contains three championship formats combined into one tournament.

    • Team Championship (1 professional and 3 amateurs)

Best gross and best nett per hole per team. The professionals and 3 amateurs may only use their score once

per hole, either a gross or nett score.

    • Professional Championship (professionals only)

Strokeplay championship spread over 3 days.

    • Top-Amateur Championship (index handicap 15.0 or lower)

Strokeplay Championship spread over 3 days. Men and women play separate competitions.

A crazy few days at the MCB Curaçao Masters with media interviews, kids clubs and sponsor promotional events. It started with a little frustration as we arrived for the event without our luggage but luckily this was quickly resolved. We had an amazing day with the local children, golf lessons, trick shots and a huge water fight. It was a fabulous day and extremely heart-warming to witness the laugher, fun and smiles emanating from the kids.

As usual the wind off the sea made the conditions extremely tricky for everyone. That said, all the professionals had so much fun competing against each other. The annual rivalries continue to flourish and it was great to see everyone again.

A good day at the office today, a very consistent swing and my game felt good. Two birdies and seven pars on the opening nine holes really does improve your confidence. The shots finding the fairways and greens saw me strike another 8 pars but only a single birdie to finish three under for the day. A very enjoyable day, finishing tied for second place.

Just when you think your playing well, your swing feels good and you've just come from a positive tournament. Boom! reality kicks in and it feels like you're punishing yourself for being too confident. Crews Hill started par, birdie but with a lapse in concentration I then scored four pars and three bogey's. Disappointingly, I then tried to recover the shots and as happens so often I then lost focus and the back nine holes saw me shoot just one birdie, four pars and another four bogey's. A frustrating day all round, finishing five over and joint 30th place.

PGA East Region, The London Open

    Score

Day 1 - A horrendous start to The London Open with a triple bogey on the first hole and a bogey on the second. Re-gaining my composure, I finished the front nine holes with straight pars. The back nine started with three more pars before I shot my first birdie of the day on the thirteenth hole. This didn't last long as I lost the shot back on the fourteenth. Finishing with three pars and a birdie on the last saw me end the day with an overall score of 73, three over for the day.

Day 2 - A huge improvement to the start of day 2 with birdie on the first hole. However, the front nine was a real mix consisting of two birdies, three pars and four bogeys. This continued on the back nine with another two birdies, five pars, one bogey and a disappointing double bogey on the seventeenth.

Another score of 73 for the day and an overall six over for the tournament and tied for twelfth.

Day 1 - Started well today with two pars and a birdie before my first drop shot on the fourth hole. The remaining holes saw me shoot one more bogey and four pars. The back nine I wish I could forget, five pars, two bogeys and two horrible double bogeys.

Day 2 - A lovely start to day two with six pars and three birdies and the round finished with an even par back nine. Overall, I was pleased with my response on day two but with a four over par score I finished too far off the leading score.
